If you enjoy a little hands-on fun before eating your meal, you can make your own Okonomiyaki (Japanese savoury pancake) and customise it the way you like.

At Yokohama Kotegaeshi, each table is equipped with a grill,  You can customise the cooking duration and the amount of sauces you like. If you are worried about recipes, fret not cos cooking instructions are provided. Staff are versatile in English and we had no problems communicating. We had so much fun making our own Okonomiyaki and it was so delicious!


If you like you pancake more charred, you can put it on the grill longer. The sauces complimented the pancake well without being too rich or overpowering, unlike some we have tried in Singapore.

BONUS! You can add crunchy noodles on top of your Okonomiyaki! :)

Apart from the pancake,  the side dishes was just as good. Butter Potatoes were soft, creamy and generously topped with cheese. Mushroom Scallops were tender and flavourful, not too rich. The Pork and Spinach were little too salty.

Overall a great dining experience! The sides were served on mini cast iron pans and the food was kept hot throughout our meal, a bonus plus point if you like your food pipping hot!

What we like about this mall is that it is not filled with tourist and caters more to locals residing around the area. If you are making a trip to Yokohama, Chinatown, and not keen on eating Chinese food there, this is a great place to make a quick stop and you will not be disappointed!
